COVID-19 Spa Policies and Procedures
These policies and procedures may be updated at any time and are a combination for mandatory protocols put in place by Worksafe BC and recommendations from Health Canada.
It is very important these policies and procedures are acknowledged and followed by all guests and spa staff. We value the health of you, your family members, and ourselves. Your adherence to these changes will assist us in offering you a safe service experience at Cowichan Bay Spa.
We ask that you please be patient, kind and compassionate as we adapt to these changes. Your understanding and co-operation is greatly appreciated and will make this transition to the “new normal” easier for us all. We look forward to seeing you all soon!
What to Expect…
Arrive for your scheduled treatment no earlier than 5 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
We no longer have a waiting room area, when arriving at the spa please wait in the designated marked areas in the entrance.
Please bring an at home face mask to your appointment, if you don’t have one, we will supply one for you. Use the hand sanitizer provided before entering the spa. All forms to fill out, hand sanitizer, and face masks will be placed on the sanitation table in the entrance.
Only 1 guest can enter the Reception/Retail area at a time, wait for the receptionist to call you in, your service provider will greet you in this area and take you directly to your treatment room or station.
A pre-screening questionnaire will be asked to confirm you are not experiencing any symptoms related to COVID-19.
Please cancel your appointment if you are sick, no cancellation fees.
Arrive to your appointment alone (no family members, friends or children permitted).
Changes & Updates…
We will not be serving tea, spa snacks or coffee at this time. If required, water will be served in a disposable cup.
No magazines, brochures, business cards, or product handouts provided. Please leave all non-essential personal items in your car.
Product testers have been removed.
When browsing the Retail Area please avoid touching the products. If you would like to purchase anything or have any retail questions the receptionist or a staff member can assist you.
Spa hours will temporarily change as we are running at half the capacity. The spa will be closed on Sundays and Mondays.
Pre-book your service by telephone, email, or the request a reservation option on our website. Walk-ins are discouraged at this time.
Our practitioners will be wearing masks and gloves, except for massage where hand washing is done before and after in the treatment room. During facials or close procedures staff will be wearing protective glasses.
We will be using the reception area to check in/enter and pay for your treatment and the manicure &pedicure room door will be the exit (floors are clearly marked).
Our spa staff will be disinfecting the contact surfaces after each guest and we will continue to use the highest sanitation standards. Washrooms are disinfected after each use.
